Kunta.Inc
One of the standout projects featured is the collaboration with Kunta.Inc for a culture night in June 2024. The assignment was a formidable challenge: to design and produce custom merchandise that would not only represent the tattoo shop’s brand but also captivate its audience. Jody rose to the occasion by crafting 20 exclusive two-piece suits, each a sartorial masterpiece. The process involved a deep dive into the Kunta.Inc brand identity, a process of understanding its aesthetic and ethos. Jody then translated this understanding into a tangible design, ensuring the suits were both stylish and functional. A crucial element of this project was the creation of a custom lining fabric featuring the Kunta logo. This small, yet significant detail showcased JJAYCE’s commitment to branding and high-quality craftsmanship, proving that true luxury is often found in the unseen details.
The result was a collection of suits that served as a powerful statement piece, cementing Kunta.Inc’s presence at the event with unparalleled style.
Liberation festival Roermond
Another remarkable project that highlights JJAYCE’s ability to handle high-profile events is the design work for the opening of the Liberation Festival Roermond in May 2024. The Movement Roermond, was tasked with a performance for Prime Minister Mark Rutte, and JJAYCE was entrusted with the crucial role of designing and producing the outfits. The creative brief was particularly unique, as the design had to be tailored to the artwork of Daniel Heynen. This required a delicate balance of honoring the visual language of the artist while ensuring the outfits were practical, comfortable, and visually striking for the dancers’ performance which made the final outfits a seamless fusion of art and fashion.

the courtyard
JJAYCE also creates custom costume work for theatrical and performance arts, such as the ‘the courtyard’ in October 2023. For this project, commissioned by Nieuwe Helden Next Level, Jody was responsible for designing, producing, and delivering custom costumes that would not only look incredible on stage but also withstand the rigors of a live performance.
The costumes were not merely clothes; they were essential components of the storytelling.
Opening Theater Hotel de Oranjerie
In September 2023, JJAYCE once again collaborated with The Movement Roermond for the opening of the new Theater Hotel de Oranjerie. Jody provided custom fashion outfits for the dancers, ensuring they were dressed to impress for a high-profile audience. The outfits were designed to be elegant, sophisticated, and perfectly suited to the glamour of the new hotel.

the paper dress
One of the most innovative and conceptually rich projects in the portfolio is “the paper dress” from 2023. As a school assignment, this project challenged Jody to push the boundaries of conventional materials by creating a three-piece outfit—a mini skirt, a corset, and a cropped jacket—from a delicate, papery disposable blouse. This was an exercise in pure creativity, technical ingenuity and demanded a new approach to garment construction.
The final creation was not just an outfit but a powerful statement on the ephemeral nature of fashion and the potential for innovation beyond traditional textiles.
